I'm at the track tomorrow anyway, so I'll track down the people I've been dealing with and sort it out. Sorry for the hassle - do not let this spoil the plan, we will get in en masse.

The tickest arrived this am. However no directions on parking. The post mark was the 22/9 so I don't know where these have been.

Thanks Ted
I was just getting ready to leave and our postman arrived at 11am. We (me in my yellow GTR and my little brother J-K in his yellow CanAm) will see you all at the RV tomorrow as were staying in Sevenoaks tonight.

Ok, if anyone hasn't received their tickets, I can mail you instructions for how to get in.

Apparently there was a strike at one sorting office and a fire at another which delayed the post!

If anyone is going straight there, this is the deal:

brdc said:

Enter through Scratchers Lane entrance & into paddock.

Exit the paddock through the gates at the top near the fuel pumps.

Go past the Kentagon with Grandstand on your left, past the SEAT Pit Stop area

Park on the right (area coned off)

Top turn out with some amazing looking cars. One of the most entertaining convoys I've ever been in. I've never seen old ladies stop and grin at obscenely powerful cars before or so many people stopped in their tracks.

Top quality display!

Thanks for a top day Ted. As you said, great turn out, thanks everyone.

Can you please pass on our best wishes to Peter Claridge of MM? I'd also like to wish the team luck for next year.

Paul.

Thanks Ted and thanks to Peters Team. Hope he recovers soon. Great fun to watch the Ultima climb from the back of the pack to 6th (I think)shame they had to retire. Did you hear what went wrong with the car.

The convoy was amazing. When people saw the black menace at the front you could see the mutterings of 'whats that!' followed by 'Oh look there's another and another etc'

Ditto on a great day out. Good to see all the well known Ultima faces again after Le Mans and even better to have my car with me for the first time since my unfortunate event in France. Thanks Ted for organising it.
l even saw the guy with the toyota supra turbo nutter machine who l had er driven spiritedly along side on the M20 a year ago.
Shame that after an excellent slice through the field of slower cars the Ultima got up to 8th? but perhaps we can all come and support them next year.

The BRDC were very pleased with the display and have asked if we can do it again next year. Perhaps we can get a few more cars along then?

Count me in for next year.

Anyone have any photos? Did you get out on track?? Must have been quite an impressive sight.

Hope there will still be Ultimas to cheer on next year in the GTs too...

Thanks Ted for an excellent day.... I think the Ultima got to 6th not bad considering it started last, shame it had to retire though.

I got the journey from the pub on digital Video (along with some of the track action) and when I get a chance I will be getting ULTIMASIMON to sort it onto a site...... don't get too excited though as we were very good boys despite there being 10 Ultima's in the convoy!
