Next to the Cruise Night popularity in North America are the week-end car shows.
Hundreds of cars attend each event, the most popular classes being the modified touring. Workmanship and detail on these home hot-rods is becoming superb. Kit car hot rods are becoming very popular, the most popular being copies of 1927 to 1932 rods. I doubt if this is popular in Europe yet.
My favourites are the Antiques, Classics, and European cars. Met a chap yesterday with a pristine XK150 Drophead Coupe (in my younger days I owned a XK140MC RHD Drophead) who also works for AirFrance cargo. He's offered to help me ship the CanAm over next summer for some European touring.
The Ultima is put in Replicar or Kit Car class.
Have to say we're doing quite well.

The car is an instant crowd getter, especially when the engine lid is lifted. Americans love to hear an exhaust note and the crowd becomes 3 deep when I fire up the Ultima for a couple of minutes and throw in a few throttle blips. You'd think Mozart had returned to give a live performance!!
You never run out of people to meet and talk with, especially if you're showing an Ultima.

Funny you should ask. Just went out to see if the car would fit in the trailer, and it started to rain. Will know in a day or two. If it fits through the door, and I can tie it down, we'll be there!!
