4 point or 6 point harness?
Discussion
Hi Chaps,
I have 2 sets of washers left if anyone is interested? They have turned out very nice, CNC machined. Let me know if you would like a set. £35 for four with £5 postage. Just to clarify, they are for the four attachment eyes through the floor when using 6 point harnesses.
Cheers,
Mart

Perhaps I am an idiot but why are the mounting points for the crutch straps behind the seats?
I can imagine that the straps have to be attatched to a place which is reinforced and not just with a bolt through the floor. So the attachement to the side straps seems ideal.UltimaCH said:

Yeah I have they bolt hole positions but nobody answered my first question. Why do they have to be attached behind the seats? Just interested to know.
Not fitted a set so just guessing that maybe there is an excess of belt length to loose or the adjuster is at the fixing point so has to be somewhere you can get at.Steve
Ok Spatz so you are saying that there is not enough clearance under the seat for the fixing points so put them at the back further back than the seat can go. I get it
I am about to order new belts because my lap strap adjusters are totally inaccessible down the outside of the seat. My adjuster buckles are 5 inches from the body attachment bits. Can anybody give me the dimension from body mount point to adjustment buckle on their belts please.

On my Sabelt four point the adjuster is part of the lap belt and is 7" from the centre of the buckle. There is then 11" from the adjuster to the chassis mount.Steve
