Moving to Singapore

I'm up for it. Saying that, my blackberry is poorly following an incident with my 6 month old daughter (the latest model isn't slober proof, who knew). Should I wear a red carnation? Or perhaps wander around telling people "the swallow flies south in the winter". How did people meet up in the old days?
