1 altitude, top of the UOB tower

http://www.1-altitude.com/

Could certainly go again, I will give them a call and see if we can have a reservation! Was good to see the circuit from high up. I think Bing o took a few good pictures last time!

That would be great to get in there again, it was pretty awesome to view the night track from up there, if you do reserve again could you get me a ticket + 1 for a mate.

Will give them a shout later today and see what the deal is and if i can make a booking for 10 or 12 of us provisionally, sure a few of the other local PH'ers will crawl out of the woodwork for that one wink

Altitude 1 on Friday sounds good. I am also hoping for some reasonable value tickets for the race via a friend smile

the Pan Pac helpfully mailed me with their F1 "special offer " ... room rates a snip at $1,250++ .. so about $1400+ per night. Bargain rofl given the view isn't all that great from the Pan Pac, and 3 day race tickets are less than that.

The tickets I can get are lower Bay Grandstand [red-centre zone ] - I think the views are of a fast straight and the Bay behind.. anyone familiar with whether these are decent tickets / views or not ?

good atmosphere as its the biggest grandstand, not a huge amount of track to see, but its one of the overtaking / crashing points for some action. (the infamous "dropabolloca" corner where Piquet Jr stuffed his car for Fred to win aledgedly ) although you can see them coming over the ben shears bridge too.

they also have a huge screen infront to see the rest of the race

sounds OK - I think I can get a ticket there for less than $240 via a friend.

.. think I'd need to pay $500+ for corner-view seats.

I sat there 2 years ago and was bored sh!tless after about 30 minutes, ended up watching it on the big screen, which i could have done in any bar in Singapore at that time....

Last year i went to Zone 4 and sat on the grass getting ratted as the beer and food was plentiful and within easy reach, still watching it on the big sceen and through the legs of others as im only 5 foot farque hall, but funily enough had a great time with banter aplenty with some Spanish and Italiano`s. Will be doing the same this year.

Phumy - did you have the walkabout tickets for zone 4 then - for the following year ? [or seats at Padang ?]

I can get the Bay view seats for $208 - but if that boring may not bother.. and get walkabout instead [my friend thinks $208 is a lot to watch some cars ... so $500+ for better seats isnt going to be very appealing ]

OK Friday Night Drinks at 1-Altitude.

We have 2 options -

Option 1 - "VIP Area" which gives us a garunteed reservation and a garunteed table.

For this we buy "Packages" of up to 4 people each for $480 ++ (shared between 4) a go (the package consists of 1 litre Spirits of choice (and its not cheap stuff) and 1 bottle of moet or 2 Bottles wine and 1 bottle moet.

Option 2 - Rock up on the night and take "free seating".
This costs $58 a head but does include 2 drinks.

Personally i recon on Option 2 and just make sure that we are all turfing up at 6pm wink

Assume there are no places where you can watch for free standing albeit with a restricted view ? Eg outside the Fullerton
