problem solved. I am now the owner of a Yamaha sx 125 in "Yam racing colours". The dealer told me it was the best tool for the Farrang because of it's beefed up suspension and elongated seat fit for a Brasilaira bunda. Its even got a whisky bottle storage rack on the front and a hidie hole for a 1/2kg hammer..... now, where did i put my organ doner card
From what I recall it gives you 80% coverage, in a non fault accident if the other party denies responsibility then your insurance will side with them!
On another note, check your work health insurance covers you on a bike as a fair few health insurance policies in Thailand don't cover you on a bike.

TBH - just sorting out the traffic light timings would be a vast improvement in traffic flow .... 15 minute red lights on the Asoke Montree / Rama 9 junction for example
