Hello, me and the other half have been wanting to relocate to Spain for a good few years now, hopefully within the next 5 years, buying outright with savings. We own our home here in England (well i say own,we have 2 years left on the mortgage in July,so it would be ours by the tine we were to move) i am a self employed web designer, she investigates fraud for the council. Im the first to admit that i am absolutely clueless when it comes to politics/Brexit etc. Im just wondering how it looks for brits wanting to move to Spain?
Many thanks

Hi, if that is what you have your heart set on, just do it.
I have lived in Spain for 8 years now, didn't know how much I would love it, sure it has some downsides, but overall a much better lifestyle than the UK, I am currently looking at moving to a bigger property, and the same questions crossed my mind regarding Brexit, and what will happen if the EU/Euro collapses, but how long do you wait???
Yes it might come back to bite me on the backside, but I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it, sat by the Port, in the sun, with a cold beer in hand, nothing will be further from my mind.

Property prices on the coast are just starting to move forward, The demand for property and building plots in the best locations are being snapped up by foreign investors.
Now is the best time to buy, as there are still a few bargains out there.
My thoughts are that in five years time there will be very few if any of the best locations left, which of course will push the prices up even further.
The main problem for us brits is the Euro pound exchange rate. Being so low at the moment, means for us we loose out .
I. Invest in property in the uk on a large scale, and I'm seriously considering building a small portfolio here in Spain.
So in my view, now is the best time to buy if u can.
