TBH i don't smoke any more but there are more than enough bars where a growler is allowed. otherwise it is an outdoor culture anyway!

The last time I was in Sing (a couple of years ago) I was lead to belive that smoking indoors (bar area in hotels) was to be banned.

Its the discression of the bar.

Most KTV lounges are reminiscent of a City of London boozer at 5:45pm

Also many of the Harrys and Brewerkz chains and every bar in Clark Quay and Boat Quay have "airconditioned" outside seating that is also very pleasant.

Will be good to be back in Sing again. Any thoughts on what the shopping/prices are like these days? My sis was out there earlier this year and felt that it was more expensive than the UK

you are screwed because the GBP is still worth the square root of fk all!

2 years ago you got SGD3.2 / GBP1 now you get SGD2.4 / GBP1

I am glad that i am paid in $SG

ETA earlier this year rates got as low as SGD2.1 / GBP1 !!!!

Yep .. Its odd mind... Am more than happy to eat at a food stall in Sing .. But would not do the same anywhere else. Suerly the stalls in Sing cannot be that much cleaner/safer than say HK?
