The time has come to upgrade my 42" Panny non-full HD screen to something a bit larger and capable of showing off Blueray to its full advantage rather than relying in some electronic processing in the TV to do it.

I've spotted a TXP50VT20B in one of the major electrical retailer sheds, while the guy attemting to demo it didn't seem to have much a clue, the picture did seem to be astonishly good in 2D and 3D. I'm not ready to watch anything in 3D with a weighty set of glasses parked on my nose, all the reviews I've seen suggest this is about as good as it gets with a slight edge in PQ over the non-3D set.

My local Panny dealer can't get the 3D set but has offered the V20B at a good price with a 5 year warranty - but, the set is being (little)used by one of the directors of the company and we're off to take a look at this at the weekend. On offer too, are new G20B sets which appear to be a favourite on here...but for the little extra I'm leaning heavily to the V set. While I'd prefer new, the claimed 100k hour life of the panel and warranty are off setting any concerns.

Meanwhile, I've found another Panny dealer at the other end of the country offering ex-demo VT20B 3D sets complete with Panasonic warranty at huge saving or, the V20B, new, for cheaper than my local dealer is offering his used set for but there may be some wriggle room on his price, we'll see.

Does anyone have any opinions on the quality of picture between the 3D set or the non-3D set...I'm not going to be able to compare them side by side, I'm sure they're both good but is the difference that significant?

Finally, it would appear my current Panny OE wall mount will not suit the next TV and the rrp of the one Panasonic supplies is out of the question, anyone recommend a good online supplier - seems some of the Google high hitters aren't all that good. Need a wall mount that'll tilt 10-15 deg, decent quality and that doesn't cost the earth!

Advice/thoughts appreciatedsmile
