Cambridge Audio amp fault? Help Please

I bought a new Cambridge Audio Sonata DR30+ amp plus ipod dock on Sunday.
Wired it up today to the (good) speakers, tested out the ipod and aux in, all great, sounds fantastic etc.
I haven't played it loud at all, so it's not blown, but when I unplugged the laptop and went to use the 'source' button to reselect the MP3 function, it refused to select anything. The display simply reads "SCAN: NO".
Turned it off at the mains a couple of times, but when it powers up it still says "SCAN: NO" and refused to cooperate.
Have I missed something simple or is a return to shop scenario?
