txp50g20 recording to HDD
Discussion
A quick question for those that ended up getting this great telly. I want to use the recording to USB HDD function that the tv allows however I have been into two different Panasonic stores and they have no clue which drives will work.
The online assistance has been poor as well, I had to ask them 3 times before getting a response to my question - the response was completely non committal and contained no info other than they have tested some Buffalo drives before (doesn't state any success) and that they can't give any advice on the matter. So basically I'm free to sling £40/50 at some drives until I find one that works.
Can anyone that has a working HDD with the TV let me know what has worked for you - from the av forums (there are around 7 threads or more on this TV alone and no chance to go through them all) it seems that a USB powered device is fine, as is an AC powered device. Capacity must be over 160GB.

Just start a specific thread on AVF then? What's the worst that could happen?
Start a specific thread on PH and get the right answer within 24hrs from others that have the TV = sure why notStart a specific thread on AVF when there are already twelvety zillion of them but no straight answer = a moderator tracking my ip address, a little whistle noise and then;
