Please can someone advise my on a good 2.1 blu-ray home cinema system. There are loads to choose from but I just get lost in the different specs.

The reason I only want to go for thr 2.1 is because its for my bedroom.

It will be linked up to a Samsung 27led tv which I already have.

Any help would be greatly recieved

Panasonic SC-BTT262 or SC-BTT362.

I have some of their 5.1 stuff for secondary rooms and for the money, the resultant output is beyond reproach.

I did see both those models on amazon and did like the look of them and also i can use my ipod as well without having to buy a plug in adaptor

My response was predicated on the assumption that you wanted a blu-ray player, amplifier and speakers. The Panasonics fit the bill perfectly, but you might want to consider their other models which have the full 5.1 setup, in case you have need of the extra speakers in the future - it'll only be about £80 more.

It might also be worth your while looking into what Samsung have to offer, in case you get some benefits from linking same-supplier kit together. For example, my Panasonic BTT-755 is (Viera-) linked to a Panasonic screen, which means easy control of both from a single remote. Samsung and Sony do make reasonable all-in-ones as well, judging by a recent What HiFi review. For all it's terrible flaws, What Hi-Fi does serve a purpose for comparative tests.

After doing some reading up on 2.1 home cinema systems, I have purchased and ordered the Samsung HT-BD7200

It looks very smart and will match my tv perfectly.

Will update once I have set up
