Those nice people at SKY have told me I can have multi-room HD for no extra cost as I am already a multi-room subscriber with SKY+ HD in the main viewing room. However, I do need to supply my own SKY HD box either via SKY or another supplier as my current second box is a standard SKY box from a few years ago.

So can the knowledge of PH recommend my a SKY HD box based on the following criteria:

1. Would prefer it to be SKY HD only (no SKY + needed) as I only have one cable to the location where it will be placed.

2. It will need an RF output as I send the signal to the TV in the kitchen from this box.

The problem I have is that the box SKY recommend (DRX595) does not have an RF out function.

All suggestions greatfully received biggrin

Beg and plead with them to give you a free box. If you have their broadband and get the new boxes with the ethernet activated, you can then use the Sky anytime + service.

I still have it, I'll get it out and test it if you want, I intended to but hadn't bothered since there was no response until now.

It would be loved by my parents if you wanted to send it this way. They can't get over the fact the VCR now won't record. Sky will activate the + bit for free for them I think. They have 2 feeds in. ( I put them in for such a need )
PM me if you want.

He should have the original box from his HD upgrade but it is the same as I already have and is not HD. The lovely clowns at SKY are offering me the opportunity to buy a SKY+ box from them to replace my existing non HD box to allow me to watch HD programs on all TV's without any increase in my subsrciption. Only problem is there is no standard HD box (I don't want or need another SKY+ HD box) with an RF out facility to run the other TV via the "SKY eye" function.

I have the same subscription and use a Secondhand -sourced from eBay HD+ box with an HD viewing card (the one supplied for my multiroom). This then gives me the RF outputs for another TV via Magic Eye. The + features of this box are disabled.
