Now then PH, tried the search function and it came up empty and then as an error so apologies if it's a common one,.

My mate just bought a new LED TV and we need to wall mount it this weekend, to get a flush job I thought we'd need to....

Get a panel(s) with power, hdmi and co axial to put behind the tv, and behind where the blu-ray will be going, hide the wires in between and thats pretty much it?

Or shall we try and put a little pipe going from behind the TV to the edge of the chimney breast (where it's mounted onto and theres no fire so no heat problems), so that wires can be passed up and down as need be?

Any help appreciated, thanks...

How old is the chimney breatst? When our next door neighbour had their TV installed the chap doing the work said he would never mount one on the chimney breast as many years of fires could affect the brickwork. The house was built about 1937.

I wouldn't consider the chimney breast either because the room in question was built about 1850 and the TV would be much too high.
