Not for me this time, can any suggest a good speaker setup for the below?

They have wired the ceiling and left gaps for speakers but haven't a clue what to go for.

They are not a massive techie so nothing too expensive just something to make watching movies a bit better!

Thanks in advance!

I have Triad in ceiling bronze speakers and they are fabulous to my ears.

http://www.triadspeakers.com/products/icb8lcr.html

They are flush to the ceiling but the drivers angle 45 deg down so point towards the listener. Not cheek if purchased new but occasionally come up second hand on eBay. Need a decent amp to drive them as 4 ohm speakers and my yamaha with a supposed 140w per channel keeps cutting out when I use a preamplifier and the Yamaha as a straight through power amp. Does not happen with using it without the pre amp although the sound is worlds apart.

I reckon that's crying out for some in wall LCRs.

They look perfect! But the fact the UK distributors website looks the way it does I'm guessing they are not cheap hehe

The Bronze LCR are about £1000 each and the slightly smaller surrounds are about 750-800 IIRC. Keep looking on eBay. They can be picked up at 200-300 per speaker as triads are pretty unknown in this country. Very good following in the USA.

Kef also do a good line in custom mount speakers - use a well-known search engine to find some, actually, I think Sevenoaks still stock(or can get) them smile

We sell/install Triad and Monitor Audio to name but a few. Have they bought an amp yet? I take it there's cabling for a subwoofer? The monitor audio's might be more cost effective Bronze in-ceilings are £125 each, Silvers are £180 each and golds are £300 each ... obviously they'll need 5 speakers in total. Bronze sub is £450, silver £830 and gold is £1,130 ... this will give them an idea on kit costs. Hope that helps.
