Hi all,

I'm after a new TV stand and am looking for some inspiration. I want a cantilever style stand but it needs to be big enough to hold a Panasonic VT30 42", AV Receiver, Tivo, PS3, BluRay and a Centre Speaker (quite big). Looking to spend approx £300. I've got two in mind:

AllCam FS95BS

Or

Jual JF09

Anyone got any other suggestions? What do you have, and could you post a pic please? It's hard to get the right perspective in a shop, so would appreciate the help!

Cheers

I like to wooden one, but wouldn't have enough space for me.

I had these guys make a cabinet to my dimensions from reclaimed wood. It's got a really nice distressed look and fits my equipment perfectly! http://www.chunkypinefurniture.co.uk/

PS. It was just about in budget as well.

Cheers, love your living room setup. It's very similar to what I'm looking for, but without the cantilever.

p.s. you forgot to post the link...

Thanks. I'm very pleased with it, looks and sounds incredible! Very tempted to use our spare spare room (currently empty) as a proper cinema with a projector, but it would mean losing the receiver and speakers from downstairs frown

that trunk is a brill idea! like it,

I have an Alphason (ST860), which is really nice, had it about 3 years now and not a mark on it.
couple of large soft close draws for controllers/junk, couple spaces for consoles above the draws and the perfect amount of room in the middle for an amp (Onkyo in my case) & center speaker.
(its extended in that pic, you can move the draws/glass to be a smaller unit - removing the center gap. they also do a version with a rear pole/stand)

pic from my old gamesroom... was small but perfect in its own way biggrin

Here is what I said in a previous thread. The pictures don't do the stand justice atall.

I recently needed a TV stand as well and ended up thinking a little outside the box.....

I got one of these,

And took the legs off. It looks fantastic and is great quality/solid. The doors are copper and the design matches up from door to door. Cable, PS3 and Wii are all in the cabinet and controlled by a logitech 900 remote so nothing on show. The only down side is that we now don't have a visible clock. The original price for the unit is $1400 but I picked it up at $140.

Here it is with my 58" Panasonic,

Posted this before. TV is wall mounted, kit is all in the cab (PS3, Humax, Denon amp) all controlled by a Harmony One via an IR repeater.

They're all very nice....
I see that no one really has a cantilever though, I really like the idea of them.

I've found it hard to find a cantilever with a good amount of storage. Wonder why there's a gap in the market? Because most people either wall mount or put on a cabinet?

Keep 'em coming, think I'm being swayed to buy a cantilever and a cabinet and merge the two together somehow!

Got this one off Ebay for £99 delivered, not the best quality and the nuts and bolts could do with painting

black, but overall i'm happy with it.

I had this made using oak and stainless steel fitting from a hardwear specialists. I have all of my "boxes" hidden away in a cupboard and have chased the cables in, but you could achieve some thing similar with out hiding the wires and table mount the tv. I think it came in at roughly £250.

Ahhh perfect, thanks for posting. What's it like? Good build quality? I have a 42" VT30 and Mordaunt Short Alumni 5 Centre speaker, which is quite big. Can you raise the TV on the stand to accommodate a bigger speaker?

Also, was thinking about what other people have done....simple TV stand with an AV Rack to hold everything else, might be a better bet?

Love what everyon has posted so far, thanks for the input
