Gents,
Prior to Christmas I purchased a TX-P42ST30B for the lounge which I have been very happy with.
The set has been moved into the kitchen and I am now wanting to buy another for the lounge with a view of maybe going up a size although not essential.
Been into the local John Lewis today and I can pick up the 46ST for £599 which seems good.
Question........ Would you buy the bigger 46ST for the lounge or move the 42 back and buy the LED 42E5B for the kitchen. The kitchen set is the one that is used the most so is the LED a better picture and option.
Many thanks from a complete current TV technology novice.

46"Plasma for the lounge=yes Is LED a better picture =No An LED tv is a LCD tv just with a different backlight to make it thinner. LCD has thin flurecent like tubes behind the screen funning right to left, LED has small led lights down the outside edge of the panel top to bottom making it thinner not better.

I think the Plasma/LCD/"LED" debate is getting like HiFi. A small minority can tell the difference, others can tell the difference when it is pointed out (and the sets are next to each other) and most don't really care.
If you like the picture of whatever TV you consider, go for it. The viewing conditions of the two rooms will differ anyway.
