80inch tv....what is the best home cinema sound system?
Discussion
You need to go and demo some setups to do the TV justice.
I suggest Grahams Hifi - http://www.grahams.co.uk/
There are other professional retailers which may be more convenient for you.

If the speakers are in perfect nick, then it's a tidy deal. Ask if the parrot can be included too.Gulzar said:
That's quite a bargain if in perfect nick but as mentioned before, I wouldn't recommend buying blind. Take a selection of your favourite music and movies to a demo centre before making a purchase. And as somebody already mentioned subs can shake a house down and the PV1 is the one to do just that. Utterly earth shaking with absolutely no distortion however I don't think your neighbours would appreciate it!!!
Gulzar, Plotloss on here set me up a great system at my last house.
I used it for a year and it didnt fit where I moved so if interested I have 3 of these RBH in wall speakers

and a massive accoustic energy black glass sub.
if interested drop me a line matey.

Hi lads, just a quickie...I'm currently "building" my home system in to something i hope will be amazing by the end, i have a dedicated room for it and everything! haha much to my other half's displeasure, but the last niggly bit i need really is speakers/amps. i have a budget of up to 3k if i need it, i'd rather not spend that much though if i am honest. i am starting with some for my walls as i already have an adjustable template to cut out the space needed. the most recent ones i have come across that are in my budget are these in wall speakers. but i am not just gonna buy for the sake of buying as it could be a costly mistake! any help would be great! cheers fellas

pop in to your local Bang and Olufsen shop Beolabs are my preference!
I can see the attraction but B&O tends to be very overpriced in terms of performance. It does look nice though but only if you have stacks of cash. However, Gulzar, did you buy those speakers in the end?

What do you think of these? Bit pricier but look nice...and im guessing half price what they would be new?

Never actually heard of them before but being omnidirectional, I don't think they'd be very suitable for home theatre use. (Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong). What do you think of these? Bit pricier but look nice...and im guessing half price what they would be new?

If you want earth shattering bass, then forget the PV1. I have 2 of them in my system and they are excellent, but are more musical rather than earth shattering.
Go for one of the BK subs for massive bass and a much lower price. If you have room, the monolith is awesome, but it is massive. Half the price of a pv1.
£1000 is just not doable for new kit really, but second hand you are in with a shot. Then upgrade as you go along.
