uh oh - Sonos Play:1 - I can hear my wallet weeping...
Discussion
Just discovered that even if you already have Spotify premium, you can redeem the code for 6 months (Playbar offer, not sure on other Sonos kit) onto your existing account.
In fact, due to various purchases, we wont be paying for Spotify for the next 18 months!
Thanks to Vex for the good service, and cheeky discount.

Quick Sonos playbar set up question, whihc is not clear to me from the online pdf guide
Currently I have:
Music on NAS connected to router
Sonos bridge connected by cable to my router
Cheap Sony s/s system, which plays music via Sonons in living room
Sonos play 5 in bedroom connected via wifi
Question:
The playbar will be next to the router and Sonos bridge.
I have no spare etherent connections on router.
I would like to connect playbar via cable rather than wifi
So can I keep bridge to router connection and just connect playbar to bridge via ethernet cable?

You can use both ports on the back of the bridge. It works as a hub.
You only need the bridge connected to the internet hub.
Provided the sonos play 5's are within the sonos mesh (not wifi) they will work. If you have a bridge there is no need to hardwire the others.
There are advantages to hardwiring but it's complicated and not worth it for you average user who uses internet streams.

Great - thank you both
Seems poor that Sonos don't explain that - their setup diagram just shows playbar to router or bridge to router connections.
Rick - presumably there is a slight advantage in wiring bridge to playbar if they are next to each other, rather than playbar connection by the "mesh" ?
And for my education, what is this "mesh"? Does Sonos not use wifi to connect components in different rooms?
