Hopefully going to have a listen today if I get time.Dealer is doing a demo with a 5% discount .
I had a listen in John Lewis yesterday - the rep was switching between the 5,3,1 and when the track stopped me and the guy beside me pretty much at the same time said 'what's the point of the 3 now'. The sound that little 1 kicked out was very impressive and it's so cheap you're far more likely to get two of them to pair. Very impressed, and my two 5's might be quaking in their boots now. Can't decide which route to go down.
SWMBO put the floorboards down in the recently redecorated living room before I could run speaker wire under the floor, so a full on 5.1 surround sound system is out (but to be honest was probably wasted anyway as i've never really used it). So now looking at the Play:Bar - two friends have one (each, not shared obviously) and i'm very impressed. But what route do I go down...
1. Random Generic soundbar connected to a ZP90 i've got from a previous install. Could I use 2x Play:1's as satellites? Wires not a problem as there's two plugs either side of the sofa...
2. Sell the ZP:90 (What's it worth? £200?) and buy a play bar. Add Play:1's at a later date.
3. Rip the floor up when SWMBO isn't looking and hope for the best.
Already have 2x Play 5's in various different locations. Expecting to add a Play:1 or three to the rest of the house at some point.
Advice? Vex?

Ok, Almost there, so lets be 'avin you.
Subject to what I can get out of Sonos (currently nothing) I am ready to send emails order forms tomorrow (probably evening).
This is only open to people who have been members here for more than 3 Months and payment for orders can only be paid for ny bank transfer to my business account and will be ring fenced for the purchases.
I have changed my email address on here so I can track emails coming in so if you want to start emailing me, using your PH name as the subject then I will reply with the order form in Excel when ready.
I hope I can offer something that you are interested in at an acceptable sort of discount.

I'm interested, but don't know what I want.
Perhaps someone could help me?
Currently, I have one Bose Sounddock which is connected directly to my Sky box, so I either listen to music from the iPod/iPhone docked, or whatever is coming out of the TV on the wall opposite.
I quite like the thought of two Play 1 speakers either side, so I at least have stereo.
The wireless router is in another room, connected to Sky via one of those mini router type things.
Can I get the output from Sky to the Play 1 speakers easily enough?
