I'm looking for a 2 or 3 seater sofa for the home cinema/office/man cave room. I think I have clashing requirements because I like a soft, floppy, "sink in to it" or "lay across it" kind of sofa with puffy arms you can use as a pillow, yet I also like high back, recline function and arms you can rest a drink on silly

Since the primary function will be somewhere comfortable to sit whilst watching a movie / playing xbox I think on balance the latter requirements are higher in importance.

So can anyone recommend a 2-3 seater sofa? I've been looking at the Stressless range, anyone got any experience of these or have any other recommendations?

You want something that reclines....and I would go for G Plan or spent time looking online at a company like Fishpools for ideas re manufacturers etc.

Look for an ex-cinema jobbie?

We were at a place called "Showhome Warehouse" a few weeks back, and they have a 3 or 4 seat arrangement, in leather, with recliners and with proper cinema cupholders.

No idea on cost though...

I've had 2 Stressless suites now, they're very good.

It's made properly - good frame with quality fixings and good leather.
They don't give it a 10 year, no quibble guarantee for nothing.

My old reclining sofa was still going strong after 10 years and I sold it on eBay for a tidy sum even then.

They do a home cinema range, that curves around in front of a central screen.

I inherited my grandfathers Stressless reclining armchair and footstool when he died, probably about 10 years old now, very comfortable and wearing brilliantly (ie not at all). I'd love to get a matching sofa but they are eye wateringly expensive.

Another vote for Stressless, have 2 recliners on order as my 2 old ones have seen better days after 12 yrs of plenty use.

We have ordered these for my man cave, a 3 seater and an armchair, we tried all sorts and found this to be the comfiest.

I was quite happy as it was dead cheap, compared to some of the others we were looking at, the kids will ruin it anyway.

Dont bother with manual recliners is my advice, they reclne but its all or nothing on the ones we tried and you have to kick the base back which is annoying and will screw the material.
