Noise cancelling headphones under £100?
Discussion
Flying to the states in may, would like to treat myself to a pair of noise cancelling headphones for the journey.
Would appear that what I want is a pair of Goldring NS1000's, but they seem to have been discontinued. Any other good alternatives for under £100? Really can't justify the cost of a pair of Bose!
Have spent a while browsing superfit/amazon/ebay and am none the wiser.
Must be over-ear types, can't stand in-ear headphones.
Cheers
Matt

Not sure Bose are all that, performance wise. My "NoiseGard" Sennheisers were around £80 a few years back, not sure of the model number offhand.
ETA- Something like this plus the airplane socket adaptor:

Have pair of those as well - they seem like good value for the money and I'm happy with them. Over the ear will always be quieter even without power as they act as ear defenders as well as having noise cancelling electronics but they can get quite warm.ETA- Something like this plus the airplane socket adaptor:

I would highly recommend Shure. I've got a pair of SE535s which are brilliant. I've not found a better pair of in ear headphones and from listening to the lower models the difference is not as great as you would imagine. Even their bottom of the range are very good but they start at around £80.
although £4 over budget and strictly they aren't noise cancelling but these are a cracking set of studio headphones and do a pretty good job of leaking/letting in any sound:
