Best Projector under £400 - Gaming & Film

Hi,

Recently bought a flat so looking for the best projector that can be had for under £400, ideally as cheap as possible but can go up to £400. Would only really buy brand new.

Will be used for Gaming (PS3/PS4) & movies in both light & dark conditions, hopefully will hook it up to some speakers as well at some point.


Never really looked into projectors so not really sure what i'm looking for and what's best to go with so any help is appreciated.

I've seen a few optima's at £350 at curry's etc which seem acceptable.

You need high contrast ratio, widescreen resolution and plenty of lumens for gaming in light conditions. You will struggle on your budget. If your happy to play in only darker conditions your money will go further.

Tbh the room will be fairly dark once the curtains are closed in the spare room as the window isn't the biggest. So I don't think light should be too much of an issue as all it will be used for is films (where you want the room dark anyway) and some gaming
