Does anyone have the sennheiser wireless headphones here?

I'm curious to buy them for a relative.

In theory you plug them into the TV, power on and go?

I'd like to think you don't have to physically power on the base/transmitter each time, but some reviews implied that you do have to. This will be a bit of a problem if so...

Thoughts/input appreciated.

I've got a set of Sennheiser RS 160.

You do need to power on the base unit, even if being powered from the mains, it can run via batteries if you want to go mobile. The base unit on mine does appear to power itself off after a couple of minutes once I turned the headphones off.

Thanks for that.

Minor irritation - shouldn't be the end of the world I guess.
