Right now! No messing - What are you listening to it on?

Probably the first honest answer though. Is no-one else - RIGHT NOW - listening to an mp3 on their phone via cheap earphones, or Radio 2 on a paint-stained boom-box in the garage, or YouTube via their laptop's built in speakers?
I listen to my iPhone with a pair of £50 Sennheiser ear buds more than anything else. I don't listen to MP3 though unless it is house type music. In this day and age with Tidal etc. streaming in lossless why bother?

Fair enough, I just thought it was funny that RIGHT NOW! everyone was listening on Linn this, Naim that and Meridian the other. Including one member listening to records and CDs simultaneously.
Haha, I don't think anyone would make it up. This is my set up, it is my main room, so it is what I listen to all the time.

No, I don't think anyone would make up what their home system is either, but in the same way I'm not always wearing a watch while I'm reading the watch sub-forum, or camping while I'm reading the tents, caravans and motorhomes forum, I don't *always* listen to music on the best HiFi system I have when I'm reading the home cinema & HiFi forum. It just seemed odd that everyone else was using the finest kit they own, when the question is, right now, what are you listening to it on. Also, I think many of us started with our first proper stereo in our teens, I have been slowly upgrading over the last 30 years.
My bedroom set up is also Meridian, although just about to sell it to put in something a little more wife friendly.
With upgrades it is often £500 here or there every few years, if I was to go out would I spend £7000 on a pair of the 5200s new? No chance?
The system in the bedroom retails at £7000 too, but I think I bought it all used and paid £1500 for it, and sold some older Meridian speakers and cd player for about a grand to buy it.
There are obviously a few guys on the Meridian, Naim etc. forums who do go and buy a pair of £60,000 speakers new for the second sitting room, but most have built up their system over many years so haven't noticed the cost that much.

Currently a Wadia 301 CD Player feeding a MiniDSP 4x10 digital active crossover; this handles driver bandwidth, phase, time delay, driver correction and room correction for my active speakers. The MiniDSP preamp sorts volume control too. Two mono RB-971 and 4 stereo RB-981 Rotel power amps provide the watts.
