Trying to find the album to suite my mood. Posted a short while ago.

And what have I found myself listening too? A very lo fi 128k MP3.

The most well known version of an album that is actually fantastic.

Yep 'Californication Unmastered' why did they ruin the release?

Absolutely brilliant yet the actual official CD is regarded as one of the worst recordings of all time.

Please, please someone release this on full fat 24/96 or at least CD.

Brilliant, even in 128k it truly shines. Could do with a touch more bass maybe.

Before I get abused for downloading, I bought the original CD. Which is near unlistenable apart from in the car. So no guilt. Though should have asked for a refund for the dire quality.

Diabolical mastering of music these days. The loudness war has been lost I fear.

Terrible quality is the norm.

Hence the moronic collection of iMug users with their appalling ear speakers believing they are listening to hi fi not low quality portable audio because they paid a fortune.

A 30 year old low budget hifi would destroy their tiny minds.

Yup. There used to be lots of work in sound engineering round here - one of mates has given up, another is about to.

According to the DRD, the BrickwallHater Remaster is the pick of the bunch.

All of the Rolling Stones stuff was 'compressed recorded' Oasis too, this isn't new, more common maybe, and your bang on, it's done to flatter st stereos.
