No, I said I could tell the difference between the 3 cables I ended up with. And they were not manufactured as speaker cables, they were designed for other applications and I was curious to see if they would affect the sound in any way.

I wasn't having a go back either, just stating the facts of my little experiment.

I was trying to make the most of my set up a few years ago. Mostly Quad with Spendor speakers.
I bought some recommended slightly upmarket cable and installed them bi-wired.
I was taken back by the difference. Huge improvement. I could see that this hifi game could get addictively expensive so that was the end of my upgrades!
