My Tv is so old that it only gets black and white programs.

In fact it is a good quality 1995 35" TV with no HD, no internet, a honking tube, the lot. I watch F1 on it, and never turn it on otherwise. I am a TV illiterate. Not even Top Gear when it was on. Not even the news.

79" In the lounge followed by 49's in the other rooms.
Thought the 79 would be to big, however its ideal
11/10 for ridiculous TV size

0/10 for picture arrangement. The lack of symmetry is incredibly disturbing!

SWMBO was looking to buy a 36" to replace her 36" CRT, I persuaded her to up-size so she bought a 42" only to state blabla that she wishes she'd gone bigger (I told her so but nooooo, what do I know??)... fast forward a few years and we're buying a place together so she's talking about a 55" cue the discussion "So remember how you wished your 42" was bigger? Well you wouldn't want to buy a 55" and think the same would you, so why don't we skip a step and get a 65" straight away?" She now wishes we'd gone smaller rofl but I love it - could happily go to a 75"+ if funds allowed (and no threat of impending end of relationship!!! weeping)

55" in living room it's quite new & can't believe the quality in picture compared to my old TVs. 10 yr old 42" plasma in my little man cave for gaming. Keep thinking I should change it but quite fond of the fact it just won't die!

65" JVC bought from Costco for $749 inc TAX (~£500). Picture is better than the 50" Samsung that it replaced, which I sold for $350! Even inluded a Roku stick which I use for Amazon Prime.

13 year old 50" plasma in the lounge, heats the room. LG for the win.

42" in back lounge, smart, posh.

32" smart in main bedroom and 32" non smart (it tries though and mummy thinks its special) in the back bedroom.

We have too many TVs as only use 2.

39" in the lounge, 22" in front of the turbo trainer, no tv in the bedroom or any other rooms.

Just ordered a 40" curved. I get a MASSIVE discount so cost/size wasn't an issue. in fact man maths would suggest the larger the screen the bigger the discount. However, I don't like the TV dominating the room.

Lots of BIG TVs will soon to be discounted, OLED is in the way, and it's bloody amazing (4K). So just save your money, and wait. And yes, I know 4K stuff is scarce, but it's coming.

I agree.

As soon as they do them in 'classy' sizes rather than 'council' sizes I will be in there.

55" in the lounge
50" in the tv room
135" projector in the tv room
40" in one sons bedroom
22" in my other sons bedroom
22" in the conservatory
21" in my bedroom

I like tv.

In all honesty, we lead quite busy lives, so the 40" in one kids room has been on once or twice since it was relegated from the lounge when he has a pall over and plays the wii, the bedroom tv is only on when someone is sick about once a year and I don't think the tv in the conservatory had ever been on (relegated from son No 1's room).

So not as bad as it might look on paper. I'm still very council and ashamed of myself though. hehe

Pretty big I admit, but also not that big it seems these days (esp from this thread), and it's not quite the same experience as the cinema!
