You have eight televisions? Holy st. I remember in the 80s having 2 TVs was like a status thing, which clearly is not the case anymore. Not quite sure what to make of that.

I have a 46" LED Samsung and I quite like the size of it. I bought it in 2011 when I lived in a house with a much smaller lounge and it was large without being over the top, whereas the house I'm in now has a considerably bigger lounge and yet it doesn't look lost. I'd say it's pretty much the sweet spot for size, but anything between 42" and 50" will likely also be pretty decent.

My parents have a 78" curved LED Samsung, however, and it's just fking massive, no matter which room it's in. It is awesome, though. hehe

I have 37" in the front room, which is quite old but is quite heavy and sturdy. This is handy when my 2 year old likes to bang it for what ever reason.

The largest one is in the bedroom, which is 46". This was going to be the front room tv but I decided it may get damaged sitting on a stand downstairs so I put it on the wall upstairs.

The 37" will most likely get replaced with a 55" when it finally bites the dust..

We have a 28" ( or 32" ?) Panasonic CRT with a great low def picture. It probably scares burglars away.

No TV in the bedrooms, garage or bathroom, and a fairly small LCD TV/DVD in the dining room that is very rarely used.

We don't watch much TV, but do have the radio (4 or 6Music) on quite often.

Why do so many people have so many TVs???????!!! Is it just because you can? What do you watch?

I have a 32inch Sony CRT with built in video smokin. It's an ex-rental and a 1998 model but has a really good picture. When it breaks I'll replace it with summat fancy(er)

I've got a 47" tv in the living room. A big TV looks big for a short time until you get used to it, then you want bigger again.
This.

I keep moving them round the house as I get bigger and thinner ones for the lounge.

Currently a 50 in the lounge, 42 I master bedroom, 40 in kitchen and spare bedroom, and a 37 in another spare. All with Apple TV which is just awesome for streaming stuff.

That's interesting. Waterproof?

I'm currently about to do a bathroom and was considering having a load of black glass tiles or similar but having a screen behind that would be invisible unless switched on....

Yes, Aquatek, iirc. Links to an amp and roof mounted speakers.

Bit old now, they do far nicer jobbies now, built into mirrors, only visible when on.

50" looked fine in lounge at last house, having separated and moved into smaller place it now looks a little out of place.
However, once a wall has been knocked down and some furniture moved it will be fine.

50" in the living room, couple of small cheap ones in bedroom and kitchen that never get used.

Got Richer Sounds to deliver the 50", expecting it to be stored upright etc, turned up in the back of a minicab!

I think 40" or thereabouts is about "right" for most large living rooms, anything bigger than your chimney breast/fireplace kind of dominates the room and looks out of place.

We retired our old 32" Tv to the bedroom and I was worried it would look too big, but it's not too bad. I also have a 22" TV / PC monitor in the dining room. Resisting putting a tv in my daughters' room - as kids we weren't allowed our own tv until we had passed our GCSEs!

Got a 40" Samsung I bought in 2007, 'flat screen' is really a term to be used loosely. It's only turned on for a few films a week so it'll be with me for a good while I should think.

We have a 37" Sony CRT at home.

Good luck to any burglars trying to move that beast! From memory it had a weight warning of c100KG smile

Super picture and although it's massive, it is in a corner and I struggle to change it smile
