I'm not sure what has happened as I'm not there at the moment, but the TV has recently been moved and when it was switched on, the picture has moved from being centrally positioned in the screen:

Can it be fixed in settings or is it done for? It's a Sony Bravia 32".

It's probably worth doing a factory reset. This procedure seems to be common for Sony's but check ypur manual to be sure. https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/...

Having said that I've never seen a TV with that much adjustment available so I rather suspect its fked TBH

Thanks for the reply. She unplugged the Apple TV and then plugged it in again and somehow everything readjusted itself, not sure what happened but it's working again for now.

God knows what she's done, it looks like your whole room is tipped sideways now. wink

Just FYI it is best to plug in any HDMI cables with both devices switched off. I recently killed a very expensive (but out of warranty) video processor by doing that.

hehe Luckily it's her TV/apartment, so not my issue! She got green screen as well last night, although apparently it's back to normal again. I'll have a look when I'm back over there.

Probably the HDMI plug was just knocked slightly out of the socket.

Known in the trade as "hot plugging"
Very common with HDMI over cat 5 stuff
The look of pain on a customers face when i told him his HDMI matrix was toast as a result of this. Makes a very expensive doorstop!

I accidentally pulled the HDMI cable out whilst the Apple TV was switched on and now the whole TV has this weird green hue where the black colours should be! Am I looking at buying a whole new TV? I've got about 1 hour 25 mins until my girlfriend is back home! Help!

Dodgy HDMI cable would do that, try twisting / flexing the cable and see if the picture changes.

Disconnect power to everything and then unplug and replug in all the connectors....and turn power back on should be sorted...... If not hopefully she is delayed, and go to the pub all afternoon.... so when you get in and see her you won't have a clue what she on about hehe

Try connecting something else and see what it displays, does it have more than one HDMI socket? If so, try a different socket.
