TV developing screen burn
Discussion
My LCD Samsung (about 8 years old) has started to develop screen burn (is that what it's called?) after relatively short periods of static images being displayed.
For example, I was on the Sky settings screen for a few minutes to delete a few programs from the planner, and I now have a yellow bar visible with today's date. It's even worse if the Half Pints have been watching one of their channels for a half an hour; Boomerang! is now stuck in the corner.
I've not had a problem with this before, so why now? Is it just because the TV is getting older?
