I have a 60" TV mounted on my wall and its very close hardly any gap behind at all, Unfortunately I wasn't present when it was fitted so couldn't see how it was done.

I now have the problem after purchasing a new Xbox one that I need to insert the HDMI cable.

How are these things fitted to the wall ? so obviously firstly some brackets are fixed to the wall and im then assuming something is screwed in the back of the TV but how are the two connected together, The space behind is too small to get hands into for screwing the two together.

I am thinking that either the TV just lifts on and off the wall bracket ? or some kind of V lever system that allows the TV to lift slightly and then tilt forward.

If anybody can give me some advise it would be appreciated !

Mine just lifts off. There are two vertical strips of metal that screw onto the back of the TV, which have cutouts that mate up with the wall mounted part of the bracket. Some have a screw that you need to undo from below or above before you can lift it off though.

If it's a plasma, brace yourself!

Grab the top of the TV with one hand and put your shoulder underneath the bottom, then lift with your legs. When I need to move mine I lower it onto a pair of high backed chairs. Easy, but I'm 6' 2" and a powerfully built company director, lesser males may struggle.

So does the OP have a big pile of scrap on the floor that used to be an expensive TV?

You should have a single HDMI cable going from the TV to your AV reciever, then, you can simply plug however many HDMI sockets in and out of your AVR.

My 65" plasma is on a bracket which pulls out so I can still get back to the TV without taking the telly off the bracket (Maplins bracket).

Yes, two man job to remove the TV, I have done it on my own once, it is awkward, - bit silly though, I wouldnt do it again, just not worth the risk.
