Not my home setup (I wish), but just been browsing the Zillow app (like an American Rightmove and rather addictive) and came across a house in Malibu on the Pacific Coast Hwy, only a cool $53m, but check out his setup...my god that looks expensive:

When we moved into our current house the double garage had been converted very badly, so we ripped it out and started again, which gave me the opportunity to get all the neccessary cabling fed around the room and above ceilings etc so that I could finally get a projector - I've wanted one for so long.

Here's the beginnings of it, all cabled up and ready for stuff to go in:

Everything installed (LG 50" TV (a bit old now, but does the job), Sky HD, Sony AV Receiver, PS4, 5x B&W VM1's, Rel Quake sub, Benq W1400 1080p 3D Projector, Saphhire 106" screen, CAT6 linked to Synology NAS)

Bit of an old picture, and taken in the daylight (need to get some blackout blinds) but you get the gist:

We've since refurbed the rest of the downstairs so now have another living room that we spend most time in, so this is becoming more of a dedicated cinema/games room, so looking to get some nice la-z-boy sofas in there after Xmas...the trouble will then be trying to stay awake long enough to actually watch anything

Here's mine - mid install.

Got new carpets coming next week (after I fit the skirting boards! biggrin ), along with a bigger TV (55"). This LG 42" will go in the new kitchen that's being built at the same time.

Dan, that looks like a potential projector job or at least a 65 incher on that wall.55" would look too small me thinks.

Also, is the ceiling light dim-able?
The FL and FR speakers need to be further apart too.

Does that set up belong to Jim Carrey's The Mask alter-ego?

Sony 65" 4K Android TV, 5.1 Q-Acoustics speakers hooked up to Marantz receiver, Kodi media centre, Synology NAS, Xbox 360, Humax Freesat receiver and Sony Blu-Ray.

Oh, and some Phillips Hue lighting (which gives out an ideal amount of background light when watching at night).

Very happy with it all now that Sony have actually sorted the Android software on their TVs!

Good set up yes

However, I have the same TV and I fecking hate it frown

I had no idea what I'd bought and do you know what, all I wanted was a TV........not one that sometimes has a mind of its own and is essentially a PC which can take some time to boot up when all I want to do is watch the tele.....aarrrgghhh, and I don't even use Android apps etc.!

Anyway.

Looks nice as I said earlier smile

Cheers.

Sony actually put out an update earlier this week (Tuesday 2nd I think) and it makes the TV much, much quicker / more responsive than before. Not perfect, but finally useable at least!

I also updated earlier this week but to be honest I've lost interest in the TV.

Great, brilliant picture that's for sure but the apps and st that come with it are a complete waste of time for me!

If it does however now start up in less than 4 minutes that's a bonus!

A smidge more modest than some, but does the job. Out of shot are the other speakers (right, rears and sub).

Ours is as hidden as I could manage. All the gear is in the sideboard with IR repeater sending the remote signals.

Used some flat panel mission speakers, you can barely notice the rears

Is that a genuine Eames chair, or if not where is it from and are you happy with it? After one myself.

Not genuine, got it from ebay about 3 years ago and it's been great.

Love the sign above the sofa. Can you remember where you got it from? Presumably it's a custom thing?

That looks really familiar... did you do a DIY thread on converting that lounge a few years back? Recall something about changing the sign to confuse the neighbors?
