Show Your Home AV Setup

Here is my wife friendly setup, the light walls aren't ideal, but I managed to convince her that a 120" screen was a good idea so there is a bit of a compromise. The chandelier is on a plug so you can just unhook it when you want to use the screen. All cables are chased into the walls, fortunately the flat was a wreck when we moved in so SWMBO didn't mind me hacking it to pieces.
SPECS:
HD230x Projector
Sapphire 123" Screen
Onkyo TN515 Amp
Opera Callas Front Speakers
Mission Centre Speaker
Final S100 Sub
Cambridge Audio Minx XL Rears
Panasonic 42" smart TV
PS3
PC
Chromecast

This was my home cinema setup a few years ago, but I've moved house twice since then, and swapped the TV. The speakers and amp are boxed up in the loft and will be re-installed when I get around to redecorating the main living room. It is a Yamaha 671 Receiver with Boston Acuostics SE 5.1 speakers. At the time it was a Hitachi Plasma that dated back to 2005 ish. Having two house rabbits, it was crucial that all wires were hidden, but as it was solid plastered wall, it took a fair bit of gouging masonry, fitting ducting, cabling and skimming, but not a single wire was within nibbling distance. I also had some sockets and wall lights added. The inherited sofas were swapped soon after too.
2 house moves later and I'm in the process of turning the kids playroom (unused, except for dumping broken toys and crap everywhere) into a home cinema and gaming room, initially for them, but I suspect the novelty may wear off pretty quickly and it will become a dumping ground again. It's a converted single garage that was previously a study/prayer room (former vicarage, we bought it from the local Bishop) so is quite long and narrow. I spent this weekend stripping it out, repainting it and getting it prepared for wiring. As it is for the kids, I haven't gone all out on expense as I suspect it will get a hard life. 55" TV and soundbar initially, a pair of X-Rocker gaming chairs, Sky, X-box, Wii & Blu-ray, and all of the DVD's will be stored/dumped on the shelves in this wall unit.
Typically it will be the last item to be delivered, but everything else is ready for fitting this weekend. I'm also looking at uplighting cornices with red LEDs, but that can come later.

When we moved into our current house the double garage had been converted very badly, so we ripped it out and started again, which gave me the opportunity to get all the neccessary cabling fed around the room and above ceilings etc so that I could finally get a projector - I've wanted one for so long.
Here's the beginnings of it, all cabled up and ready for stuff to go in:
Everything installed (LG 50" TV (a bit old now, but does the job), Sky HD, Sony AV Receiver, PS4, 5x B&W VM1's, Rel Quake sub, Benq W1400 1080p 3D Projector, Saphhire 106" screen, CAT6 linked to Synology NAS)
Bit of an old picture, and taken in the daylight (need to get some blackout blinds) but you get the gist:
We've since refurbed the rest of the downstairs so now have another living room that we spend most time in, so this is becoming more of a dedicated cinema/games room, so looking to get some nice la-z-boy sofas in there after Xmas...the trouble will then be trying to stay awake long enough to actually watch anything

I moved into my flat from my parents' house a few months ago, so my setup consists of stuff I already had, mostly. I had a surround sound setup at home, but I've decided not to set it up here for now. Instead, I have the TV wired into my Denon DM39 which actually does quite a nice job. The speakers are Celestion UL6s which my Dad bought new back in the 70s. They'd been languishing in the loft at my parents' house for a number of years before I started using them; they still sound great! In terms of consoles, the only one really visible is the Xbox 360, but there's also a PS3 and PS4 lurking. The TV units are Ikea Kallax shelves which cost £35 a piece, much preferable to the TV units I was looking at which ran into the hundreds for the most part.
The wooden wall came with the flat; I decided to keep it as I actually like it, although I understand it'll probably divide opinion

Just in the process of setting up my first surround sound system. Currently got the fronts and center, waiting for a sub and surrounds to come up at a reasonable price on ebay. The amp is a Yamaha RXV-379 which I am very pleased with. Speakers are Mordaunt Short MS902 and MS304, which I am also pleased with. First thing I did when I got all the bits was have a play with a 5 speaker system with my floor standers. However they don't really fit with the TV in its usual position, hence going for smaller speakers. Hoping to get some small stands to lift the front's off the floor, will probably leave the center where it is though.
My set up consists of
Arcam A32 and P35 amp/power amp
Arcam irDac
Samsung 55" curved tv.
27" imac (pictured is my old 24") for music, hooked up to tv for internet browsing etc.
Monitor Audio PL200 Floorstanders.
Monitor Audio PLC350 center.
On the look out for another P35 with a third channel so I can use the A32 as a pre amp and get it all hooked up as I want it.
Fire place means speaker location isn't ideal, but is sorted with balance adjustment.

As in, as nice as the stuff in that setup is you'd have to have a very understanding wife to allow the living room to look like that. It's not exactly discrete.
I would hardly call a lot of the other set ups in this thread discrete. I also value function over form.

Looks nice.
Looking through this thread makes me want to add a centre and surround speakers again. Not cheap when you're in the Meridian eco system.
Need to decide whether to jump ship and get a Yamaha and maybe some of the new Quad S series (very nice sounding by the way) speakers or stick with Meridian.
Had a few demos and decided to stick with Meridian added a processor again and a DSP centre, also I sprayed my Rel Sub white so it blended better with the room, a little WAF is not a bad thing!! Going to put in ceiling speakers in for rears with a 2 channel power amp, keep it looking neat.
The TV sound goes to my faithful old 100W Akai system.
I'm expecting to upgrade the TV before too long, which should fill the space better and partially hide the sockets.
The players ought to be in the shelving unit but it's not very deep. It's also solid oak, including the rear panels and I'm loath to start hacking holes in it.
The downlighters are dimmable LEDs.
Can pick them up for around £2500 for the earlier versions used now.
Which considering they are a pre amp/dac/3 x power amps and speakers is actually not bad value.
Plus the wife loves them as it meant no boxes, optical from tv into input one and then coax from Sonos into input 2, a very clean set up.

Does anyone else find it incredibly hard to find AV stands that a) don't cost an absolute fortune b) are reasonably well made and c) have some thought put into their design? Everything is either cheap and crap (usually bowing in the middle when you put your equipment on it) or expensive as fk, there seems to be little middle ground. Failing that, there's usually no thought put into space for equipment; either space is too shallow, too short or there's not enough room for everything!
Some spectacular systems there, thanks for sharing them.
My little system, still being worked on, does it ever finish????
Before I bought my house the previous owner had his office in the converted garage
Cleared out
I then got a nice little home wrecker in... meet the sis-in-law
Dividing wall removed
Soundproofing, insulating and double walling where the garage door used to be
New doorway and venting for the kitchen
Screen wall put in ready for plastering
Doorway in and viewport for projector put in
Screen wall getting painted courtesy of the wife
Screen defined and ready to be painted
Walls and ceiling during painting
Walls painted and equipment getting wired in
Laying the carpet
Running in the front speakers and subwoofer cables
Seating and some of my video collection and camera collection
Having a go on the PS3 in the cinema
