Video extender - Tivo remote

Sorry if this was discussed already but I don't believe it has been discussed in relation to Virgin Media TiVo.

I bought a 5.8Ghz wireless video extender. Works fine but the remote control doesn't. On the box it says "now with IrDA compatibility, suitable for Sky HD and Virgin Media". Guess what? It doesn't work with a Virgin Media TiVo remote control. Overall, not much good when you can't change the channel.

So, simple question, does anyone know one that does with a virgin media remote? Would any like to know what results I get?



Finally, I am going to write the sentence below so that it comes up in google searches for others. Maybe they can avoid my pain:

The Nikkai HQ+ 5.8Ghz Video Sender Kit A86KH does NOT work with Virgin media TiVo remote controls.

I use a Digisender with Virgin and works fine. Is your product faulty? I'd be tempted to return it for a refund.

Have just bought a Nikkai A31JL 5.8GHz A/V sender and it's working fine with my Virgin Tivo.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Looks like I should have got the other one off the maplin shelf.

The one I have looks like



but doesn't work with the remote. Interestingly it flashes as if it's picking up the remote signal, but doesn't come out at the other end. Have tested with other remotes - it transmits them fine.
