16 x 16 Display Port matrix - does this even exist ?

I am looking for a 16 x 16 Display Port matrix, haven´t been successful in my search so far,

maybe there will be an echo from the PH massive ?

You may find some legacy stock from someone like Gefen or Kramer but think most will have discontinued these.

Do you need both inputs and outputs to be Display port?

Yes, IN and OUT in DP.

It´s for a multiple Christie Boxer 4K projector installation.

Any idea why these companies discontinued the items, DP is rather new and currently widely used ?

This one crossed my mind but again is discontinued ... would need to be paired with DP receivers obviously. http://www.gefen.com/kvm/gef-mod-16416.jsp?prod_id...

Really not sure, can only guess that some manufacturers think that the take-up compared to HDMI hasn't made it economically viable to continue production.

Thanks Jonathan, I had found this but was looking for an DP in & out device,

so "out" Adapters will have to do.

Ha email you spoken to any of the manufacturers that make modular hd matrixes?

Crestron, CYP as well as the new guys on the block HDanywhere and PULSE8

Actually you could also try Pureeing, leaf and keydigital.
