Doesn't bother me at all, my old boxes gather dust in the loft as they have little value. I'd be surprised if sky sent someone rounded to collect the Q boxes if you cancel outside of the contract period. I like that repairs are included with these.
I used to do that for a living for Telewest. So they may.....Although I'd wager that unit build costs are nowhere near what they used to beMissChief said:
If you don't return them then they can charge you for them. If you'd been paying attention during the sale you'd know this. Unless you ordered online of course.
And even after they've charged you the non return fee, the boxes remain their property, so they'll probably continue to chase for them. Not that there's much point having a Q box without an active subscription anyway...Patch1875 said:
I'm on the Legacy package.
Going to try again later today with the dept that deals with the Q as I was doing it through home movers hopefully get someone who can sort it out.
We had our Q switched on a few weeks ago. I got the exact same package as before which was everything apart from Sky Sports and I still have the F1 channel.Going to try again later today with the dept that deals with the Q as I was doing it through home movers hopefully get someone who can sort it out.

It's due to regional programming. BBC2 HD is 102, but BB1 HD is 115. The majority of channels have moved the HD channel to the main number.
This is down to the BBC themselves, not Sky though. There are still only a limited number of BBC HD Regional broadcasts and the BBC would prefer to keep the local news in the right slots on 101. In Scotland, Wales and NI BBC1HD is on 101. but then those BBC stations get royally short changed by geographical area and in some cases population count compared to local English stations.I currently have full package (except movies) 2nd sky box, broadband unlimited, line rental and anytime calls.
I'm around £104 a month.
To upgrade to Sky Q I'm being offered silver box and mini box (plus router) for £106 a month and a one off fee of £149.
I'm struggling to justify the move across.
I have a galaxy tab that I sometimes use for sky go and my wee one uses the sky kids app, apart from that I don't think I would see any benefit for the extra cost.
When the 4k goes live I'll maybe reconsider but then I assume that'll come with an extra fee ?
Unless I'm missing some added benefit ???
