I get the boxes loosing connection all the time. Resetting the network settings back to default from default and it sparks back into life again. Croc of sh*t.
Used to have all those problems- in fact general issues with wifi in the house (sonos loses connection when microwave used)I changed wifi channels on my router (maybe coincidence) and with latest software I've gone from 4/5 reboots a week and minis losing connection to not having to touch it (although did have the issue with recordings not stacking or showing picture in thumbnails)
Sky Q software update V4 started to roll out last week that includes voice search, single touch TV guide and personalised homepage amongst other improvements, possibly the most significant update since it was launched 12 months ago. It is a gradual rollout so not everyone will have it yet but it may be getting rolled out to those who have it connected to a Sky broadband hub first so they can address any teething problems with greater ease than they would if it were with a different supplier. Be interested to hear if anyone has received the update that is with a 3rd party broadband provider?
I've had the system for 2 months now without a single hitch. The 2tb box links to the 2 mini boxes every time I want to watch a recording in another room and none of the boxes have dropped off in performance at any time.
The two guys who installed the system replaced the dish and LNB and fully checked all wiring etc a couple of times before they left. Importantly, I think at least, my broadband comes into the house and into the router right next to the 2tb box so minimal length of cable between all parts. Both mini boxes are within 20 feet of the main box and my internal walls are plasterboard as the house is quite new so perhaps the signal strength remains strong across the box set. I have a few colleagues at work who have had issues but they live in older houses with thick internal brick walls and have significant distances between boxes so the signal strength could be much lower across their sets.
Runs off and awaits for total system meltdown

Series Link record F1 in UHD with V4 update for those that have not found it yet:-
Home Button --->Sports----->Ultra HD----->Scroll to desired session and select.
Got every session available to record in advance on UHD without having to use the red button. Interestingly the Race Live programme on Sunday starts an hour earlier than it does on the HD channel? Don't normally watch the FP but hit record to have a little peep at the quality on Friday. Just need the MotoGP on UHD through the Sky box so we can watch some EXCITING races in 4K.
