Got Sky Q Silver yesterday.
A few initial observations:
There is no shortcut to the TV Guide; Home takes you to "Top Picks". This is really annoying.
The blue Q light on the front of the Silver box is way too bright. In a dark room it's blinding.
The touch remote is a gimmick.
The Sky Q app is only available for iPad and Android "tablets" (i.e. NOT available on my Nexus 6P).
You get 3 remotes: the touch remote and two button remotes. The button remotes use IR, so multi-remotes can be used. I have a Logitech Harmony Ultimate and it works fine. Logitech have added the Sky Q Silver box to their database as manufacturer "Sky", device "Q".

The TV Guide issue has been mentioned many times and been fed back. It will either change or become a choice you can make on the box itself.
Also discussed and likely to happen is an option for box or user folders so you can separate your recordings rather than them being on one huge list.

Does each additional mini box act as a bridge as well?
For example, if the main box and router is in the basement, and a mini box was placed on each floor, all the way up to the 2nd floor, would that work? or does the box on the top floor need to communicate directly with the router?
Part of the Wireless AC spec is that an AC device must act as a relay station of necessary so yes, each mini box also acts as a wireless hotspot. For example, if the main box and router is in the basement, and a mini box was placed on each floor, all the way up to the 2nd floor, would that work? or does the box on the top floor need to communicate directly with the router?

I've not read thread fully yet, but anyone who is already using it, can you confirm what My Q section is for?
The engineer told me it would save what I was watching in there when I paused, but it isn't doing this, it's in recordings, so no issue, just checking it was set up right
In mine, I have partially viewed recordings and a blank page that says something like we do not have enough information on your viewing preferences yet.The engineer told me it would save what I was watching in there when I paused, but it isn't doing this, it's in recordings, so no issue, just checking it was set up right

Yes, that's what I'm expecting... builds a profile of your tastes over time, like Netflix.
Trouble is, without user profiles, "my" tastes will include crap like Friends and Say Yes To The Dress. Some things I discovered this weekend:
YouTube on Android can "cast" to Sky Q boxes. They support Apple Airplay too, but I don't have an Apple device to test.
Also, you can change the casting name of each Sky Q box by browsing to:
http://198.168.0.xxx:13579/index.html
Where xxx is the IP address of the Sky Q box you want to rename.
