If the Q remote does the volume, it should also be turning the TV on, with one press they'll both turn on, then to turn the TV off its a long hold.
Fixed, thank you. Short press switches on the Sky Q box, long press to switch on and off the tv. Edited by mattyn1 on Friday 15th April 11:50

Hmm, mine does both on for short press. Not sure if it's HDMI Control though as it also switches input.I really like the touch remote, I think anyone saying it's too sensitive isn't used to using a touch screen based device quickly. I doubt my parents would get on well with it. Sadly due to the remote not being able to switch inputs on my amp/navigate my TV menus, I think I might have to look at a Harmony.
My Sky Q was playing up last night. Downloaded a movie, and noticed that the speech was very low in volume, as this plays through the centre speaker through surround sounds. Eventually after deleting it and then downloading again, a bit of fast forwarding, the speech came back again, was a tad annoying!! As all other programmes were fine!

Can someone answer a quick question for me please?
I have a Smart TV on a wall in the dining room, just used for iPlayer and Netflix etc as it's not connected to an aerial and I only have one powerpoint/plug.
Will the new SkyQ box stream straight to a Smart TV or do I need another plug by the TV and some way of hiding the mini box (assuming the mini box needs a plug to power?)
Thanks

The mini box will plug into your tv but needs power so you'd need an extension lead. The mini box uses IR but it is pretty sensitive so you may get away with putting it behind your tv and pointing it at the ceiling. Be warned though, the mini boxes can get a little warm.I have a Smart TV on a wall in the dining room, just used for iPlayer and Netflix etc as it's not connected to an aerial and I only have one powerpoint/plug.
