Does anyone else get sound/picture sync issues? Even with the main box I sometimes have to stop a recording and restart it to get the sound and picture back in sync.

Yeah we've had similar issues and have had to do the same as you to sort it out, kind of annoying really

Are you using optical cables via the TV to the soundbar? This caused my audio issues. If you need to switch optical then use a cyp optical switch with a IR remote.

No, I'm using an ARC HDMI cable.

For those who have upgraded how much is installation, any deals if you threaten to leave? And what's the monthly cost again any discounts?

£149 and no deals if you cancel it's too much of a new product to get a discount and it depends what packages you get but can be not a lot or a lot.

I took the upgrade a couple of weeks ago, Free silver box and mini box. Free installation. I had multiroom sky HD before and had only just removed my multiroom subscription, saving £10.50 a month i think. New skyQ price has put £12 back onto my bill

I received an email at the beginning of June offering me Sky Q Silver with no set up fee. I first checked that I retained my legacy HD F1 package with it and then ordered it. All I pay is an additional £12 per month.

The UHD update is now available - boxes should update automatically overnight. This also has quite a few bug fixes in it too.

I just phoned up and said I'd cancel my full package (hd,sports, movies) I've had for 10 years if they would not give me Sky Q. So installation of Q silver booked for 2 weeks time. £60 installation fee, but no increase in cost over current Sky hd. Plus they said I can cancel sports and movies after installation and drop to £44 a month. I'm happy with that (as new customer pay £56 a month).

Yep my box updated at 2am on the nose last night. I had just got in from work. Most annoying thing it didn't remember where I got to in the recording I was watching!!

Rule don't watch TV at 2am

I like how you now swipe the touch pad to find a specific place in a recording more easily now. Much improved.

Just switched mine to 2160p 10-bit, is it my eyes playing tricks on me or is the picture better??

I just had a call from Sky welcoming me to Sky Q and to ensure I'm getting the most from it. It turned out to be a precursor to offering me insurance for it. I asked why on earth I would want insurance for equipment I was renting which Sky would have to repair/replace anyway? She said it was to cover against accidental damage!!! She did at least have the decency to sound slightly embarrassed. This has got to be akin to a scam surely!
