Sky Q + mini boxes very unreliable, even when booster fitted.
Regular power resets required to restore service. Up & down stairs to repair etc. Cheaper than Gym membership I guess
Hardly a week goes by without problems. If you are not tech savvy/old/unfit/no patience - Avoid until they sort out the bugs.
Virgin wired was far far more reliable.

I second that on the Mini boxes. Every time I turn our one on I have to take some kind of action. Its now at the point where it has become unusable because it will not connect to the booster.
Consistently comes back and says it can't get an IP address and takes out the "connected" light on the booster during the process.
I have used way too much energy on it and given up while I muster resources. What with that and a 2015 Sony Bravia with all its Android problems, watching TV in our house at the moment is not a pleasant experience.

Yeah we watched about 20 minutes of an episode of something the other day before we realised we must have missed something.Checking back the stacking had failed for that series and there were two earlier episodes scattered around the place. It's only happened on that one series though.
Worth complaining to sky earliest possible chance - I believe once you raise a complaint or fault any payments towards that service are put on hold - certainly that's what I was told.

I have fixed it!!! Was pretty simple in the end, full reset of the Sky Booster box via the little button on the back. As soon as I had done it I could get all three lights up and then when the Mini was turned on and went through its process it was this time able to find an IP address. Three days but job done, fingers crossed.
Ok,
Had Sky Q installed yesterday and Sky broadband activated.
Couple of frustrations so far:
1) I can't output the Sky Q in 2160p because my Amp pass through won't support it (frustrating but can be solved by throwing a little cash at the issue.
2) Broadband performance doesn't seem able to cope with streaming Amazon Prime or Netflix (tried both, it just seems to drop the sound all the time.
It's a little better on the TV upstairs (which is right next to the new Sky router) - The TV downstairs is showing full signal though.
I'll have a play about tonight.

I've now got a minor issue whereby the items I've recorded no longer have a still picture on the tile in the recorded items. It just shows a blank box with the small station logo on.
Mine did that, a reboot of the main box cured it for mealxce said:

I bought 2 x of those android Bravia's - utter crap! Feel your pain. Consistently comes back and says it can't get an IP address and takes out the "connected" light on the booster during the process.

After a record 2 weeks of problem free Skyq, back to its old tricks yesterday evening. Both SkyQ mini boxes 'searching' for channels. Sky booster lights looked correct. No problems in settings on all boxes.
Couldn't get through to Sky but after a few resets of main box it played ball.
So 30 minutes of my life wasted & up & down stairs half a dozen times.
Avoid if you don't have the patience of a saint or don't like running up & down stairs...
