I was watching watchdog and it looks like they are featuring skyQ on it next week.
Reading this thread it seems most are happy.
We certainly are.
I do wonder sometimes if Watchdog bother to do any research on the internet at all.
Probably just that one of the production team is having issues with theirs...Reading this thread it seems most are happy.

To be fair they are having a lot of issues as evidenced by this thread.
If even one percent of customers have experienced the problem I have, then they have a very large number of very defective installations out there.
But Sky will do their best to help you, and there seems little point whinging to watchdog!

Indeed. You just have to read some posts on Sky's forum where people complain about how awful Q is, but admit they've never actually reported their problems to Sky.. Not quite sure how Sky are supposed to know to fix it..If even one percent of customers have experienced the problem I have, then they have a very large number of very defective installations out there.

I hated Sky Q when we had it installed, when it was working I really liked it but it really got to the point where we asked for Sky HD boxes to be reinstalled, after a 3 week wait for an engineer it finally got sorted, the engineer who originally installed our system didn't do it correct which caused the signal to constantly drop in and out, ever since the 2nd engineer visit it's been fantastic and can say Sky Q is a great bit of kit.
I'm hazarding a guess that a lot of any complaints are pretty similar to ours, the 2nd Sky empngineer who came to us told us they are having to spend a lot of time correcting installation work.

I currently have the full Sky TV and broadband package including HD , multiroom , 2 boxes and unlimited fibre - I have just cancelled everything this week and am due to be switched off on 6/2/17 - what's the best way to get Sky Q cheaply?
Sky didn't even offer me any deals to stay!!
Install the Sky Service app. As soon as you open it you may find an offer of 30, 50 or even 60% off. That's what I did, got 50% off for a year and some credit on the account.Sky didn't even offer me any deals to stay!!
Personally loving Sky Q, had for over 6 months, and don't think I could ever go back.
Only a few niggles for me:
Firstly, the home page not taking you to schedule is a pain, but not too bad a pain.
Secondly, when you press select or i, to show you a summary of the program you are watching, the select buttons to see whats on the next channels work in the opposite direction to changing channels button. i.e. if your on channel 110, pressing the up channel button - the top one, takes you to channel 111, but pressing the top button on the four direction buttons around the select button, takes you to preview to channel 109.
And thirdly, if you surf through a channel which is being recorded, when you come to watch that recording, it starts at the position in the recording you surfed through. So, if your recording say, the strictly final, and channel hop to see whats else is on, you land on BBC1 and realise that they are just about to reveal the winner, so jump to the next channel just in time. Then when you come to watch the whole program from the beginning later, kids safely tucked up in bed, you press play to hear them announce the winner.
Other than that, its brill.

There'll be an option to customise the home page in an upcoming release.. but Sky haven't said exactly how this'll work though.Only a few niggles for me:
