That's where you're going wrong, use the number keys like writing a text message on a mobile phone in the 90's, wayyyyyyyy quicker and as said above, I usually only have to put in 3 letters max before I find what I'm looking for in the list to the right.
The search result prediction system for partial matches is astounding in my opinion, the weightings given to most recent or most viewed programmes must be spot on because the thing I'm looking for is usually in the top 2 or 3 results.
This! I find it very good too, despite initial annoyances I'm now very happy with it. I even like the remote although it is definitely too sensitive. Well had sky q 24 hours and am liking it but the interface is a bit more clunky than sky + but will get used to it.
I find it takes a lot more clicks to get to most things except recordings and the exit button back to the tv which I both like.
My mate has just upgraded to Q and he said it took him a good weekend of playing to get used to it. He prefers it now but he had to stick with it! It did take him a while to demo stuff to me while he figured out where it was on the interface. I find it takes a lot more clicks to get to most things except recordings and the exit button back to the tv which I both like.

The latest update started rolling out today - they've moved TV guide & recordings so they're only 1 click from home..I find it takes a lot more clicks to get to most things except recordings and the exit button back to the tv which I both like.
Well bit annoyed today with on demand. Box is connected to router and can watch youtube and vevo but no on demand connection is available.
Broadband contract changed today but router set up is the same.
Openreach modem and airport express.
They got turned off earlier to do bit of fault finding bit back on and everything connected with no issues on other equipment.
Have also followed the guidance to empty the deleted items folder.
Anyone got any other suggestions? Have visitors so holding off phoning sky.

It's not just you - quite a few reports on Sky's forum of it. I'd guess something died at their end..Broadband contract changed today but router set up is the same.

Okey, I bought an LG TV which comes with a year of Sky Q. We already have Sky with the HD channels.
I don't like being a unwilling beta test dummy.
Should I get Sky Q?
I could live with the remote Sky Q box being not quite right, as the second TV isn't used much and can't get Sky now anyway. But I don't want to have any recurring problems with the main box.

We have had skyQ for about 6 weeks now, what a pain. We have a 2tb box and 2 mini boxes. Now wireless one had wired. The main box and wireless have been fine more or less but the second hard wired mini just refuses to work. Had about 6 engineer visits with new boxes main and mini tried but after a day the box refuses to connect to the main box again! The engineers say is our poor internet speed (3mb) but the other boxes work ok! Back on terrestrial tv now and given up on this one mini working.

Your internet speed is NOT the cause of connectivity issues between your Mini boxes and the main box. You could disconnect the Router from the Telephone socket and it should still work for up to 24 hours.Gassing Station | Home Cinema & Hi-Fi | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
