Bought an audio Chrome cast to bring my old Nad amp and AR18 speakers back in use but you have to sign up to the streaming companies premium streaming service in order to make use of it.

So which company should I send my £10/month to?

Spotify is good, easy to use and has lots of pre-made play lists i.e charts, moods, genres etc. Great if you want to find new music.

Deezer is easy to use, apparently has more music available, all the same features and you can download music offline for use out and about. The only thing I didn't like about Deezer is on Deezer "Flow" (i.e it finds music similar to your favourited artists) it seems to repeat the songs a lot and every time you start it, it seems to always play the same songs as the last time you listened.

However if you're using it for multi room, then Spotify accounts can only play 1 feed per account, however Deezer can stream multiple feeds from one account.

An audiophile friend of mine swears by Qobuz for high definition audio streaming.
Our kids love Spotify (student discounts!)

I too have accumulated (a couple of) CCAs and on mine deezer is working great, great catalogue and if you stream from chrome, with an adblocker its works great with just the free account smile

The ball ache is that although the chrome cast works through the telly for the free versions the newer audio chromecast connected to the amp will only work with the premium services.

I have a chromecast audio connected to a stereo amp via 3.5mm in - free deezer acount, casted from chrome, works great without issue - no ads all for free.
Only issue is no mobile app

I'll give that a try. It was fine via my phone at first then I realised I was in my 15 day free trial.

Nothing to add apart from claiming to be another satisfied Deezer user.

Which have you signed up for?

Spotify here. Been using it for the last two or three years.

Happy with it.

Only very vaguely aware of Deezer's existance - only one person has ever mentioned it to me and that was just the other day.

Long time Spotify user here and it works perfectly. I use it on my iPhone as constant source of music on the move (which you can store offline on the phone if you have data issues) and through my Sonos system at home.
Can't give any insight on Deezer I'm afraid.

I'm currently liking Deezer at home. I have Napster, Spotify, free month trial Deezer and a three month trial of apple music.

Deezer has been my go to. But that could just be because its new. I'm a playlist/new music type of user.
