Just been dragged kicking & screaming into the 21st century with a smart tv & soundbar. Issue is that on some channels (most notably ITV) the volume fluctuates markedly, to the point that we're having to adjust volume constantly.
Got a soundbar & sub-woofer to try to improve this but if anything it's exaggerated it.

Any ideas please? Is this something anyone else has come across?
Cheers, Al.

The issue originates with the coding / mixing of the audio channels at source.

You should be able to improve things by adjusting the audio settings on your TV and any other devices you have connected.

For instance, if you've got a 2.0 / 2.1 sound system, ensure that all your devices are configured for this, not 5.1.

Also, check to see if your TV has Dynamic Range Control (or Night Mode) in it's sound settings - if it has, enabling it might make a big difference.

You may also find that one of your TV's pre-configured sound modes may provide greater emphasis on speech and less on background stuff.

No doubt there's plenty of guides on the 'net which suggest tips and fixes for this.
