Apologies if this seems like repetition of a 'what tv to buy' thread, but please bear with me a minute.

I'm looking to pick up a mid-level UHD unit for Movies and TV, and maybe a little gaming. In the 48"-55" size bracket.
Doesn't have to be a smart tv, a display monitor with multiple inputs is fine. Reason I don't want to splash out is because we'll be moving again internationally in approximately 12 months, with the next destination not fixed yet, and I'm reluctant to put big money into a large tv as a) it could be flogged in 12 months, or b) it will be getting flung around by international shippers so the risk of knocks etc could be high.

It'll be driven solely by an NVidia Shield TV, so content will be Netflix, Amazon Prime, and our own collection of movies from a NAS being played by the Shield.

What I'm after is what specific minimum specification I should be looking for, rather than a specific model recommendation or review.
We're in Korea presently and the market is flooded with domestic-brands which all basically re-house LG or Samsung screens (and some also entire chipsets). Most of the domestic brands use LG internals over Samsung. We've a few 1080p units at work in 55" and the screen quality is good.

So, other than what my own eyes tell me when trying one out, what is the minimum spec I should be looking for ? I've seen mention of specs. like below on other threads on here, but have to admit I'm well out-of-the-loop on developments in recent years.

10-Bit panel -- Ok, I understand this !
HDR colour gamut -- Sorry, what now ?
Rec. 2020 (New colour and brightness standard) -- As above, no clue !
HDMI 2.0a -- Know the HDMI standards, so comfortable with that.
Sufficient brightness \ contrast minimum nit count (think it's 1000?) -- A little extra clarity would be appreciated !

Thanks in advance....
