HDMI CEC Via Amplifier?

I've got OSMC running on a Raspberry Pi, HDMI to a Sony DN1010 amplifier, then HDMI to the TV. I should be able to use HDMI CEC to control OSMC with the TV remote, but it's not working.

If I miss out the amplifier to works perfectly, but then I lose the sound via the amplifier and have to use the TV speakers, which obviously isn't what I want. As far as I can see the setting in the amplifier are correct, though I've not ploughed through the manual yet.

Anyone any ideas if there's any tricks to getting this to work?

Get into the manual - different manufacturers have different names for it so look for anything mentioning CEC, ARC, HDMI control etc.

Have you played with the CEC settings within Kodi: settings > system > input devices > peripherals
