My basic home cinema setup
Discussion
Hi all,
I was really into the whole projector, speakers tons of wires around the house a few years back then moved and decided it was too much hassle.
I've since moved again and want to install my old setup which is a projector, amp and 5.1 speakers.
BEFORE I start, what do you guys think of the layout - I have a recess above the patio doors so thought I would put the electric screen up there so it's hidden. I'll have a sofa at the other end of the room so thought I could watch TV from the right hand wall and movies from the other sofa.
The only thing I do want that I haven't got is a projector lift - I don't really want the projector bolted to the ceiling all the time but other options seem expensive??
Any last minute advice before I start chasing wires through the walls!

First things first, if you haven't already go on AV forums. Go into the home cinema building section and look to see what everyone else has done to get some ideas. If you can get a short throw projector you could hide a roll down projector screen above your TV by boxing it in. Then your screen could roll down in front of your tv. This means you don't have to move seats to watch the bigger screen. AV forums have me loads of ideas for my builds in the past.
