£7k at least? Apparently the flagship 2017 LG OLED is 10k euro...I hope the new B7 launches at no more than £2k for the 55inch model...even that's a lot given the current market. I was a bit surprised in 2016 when the cheapest (the B6) was the same price as the 2015 flagship EF950V.The LG flagship OLED is 2.6mm thick, and the panel is completely separate from the inputs and processor side of it, and can only be wall mounted. More showing off than anything but still impressive.
Hopefully we see prices fall a little, not too much as I've just bought one though ha.

I'm looking at the possibility of buying 3 * 65in Oled Tv's for my new build house but not having had the time to really research them properly I'm hoping for pointers on which model (flat screen not curved pls) offers the best compromise of performance vrs cost & where best to source them from please?

The screens all have the same panel, so perform similarly, though the chip in the E6/G6 is better. The C6 is curved. If cost is not an issue(!) choose on what you'll be doing with it. The B6 does not support 3D. The E6 and G6 have a nicer design, but the B6 looks more simple, I'd suggest you look at pictures of them and choose what suits. If you don't need 3D the B6 is best cost/performance, being much cheaper than the E6/G6 but performing very similarly in terms of picture quality.
The new 2017 models (B7,C7,E7,G7 etc) are out soon, they have already been announced. None support 3D, all are flat.

Hi. I would wait, the new ones might be a big step up in performance (probably not, a subtle improvement rather than drastic I expect) and we don't know prices...They could be surprisingly cheap (though I doubt it). Once the new ones are out prices for the current ones are bound to drop, probably by 10% or so.
John Lewis have great post-sale support and a warranty, and will price match. I'd get one from there or Richer sounds. I was forced to buy mine from Curry's as no one else stocked the ef950v!

Yeah LG have developed something, not 100% sure what it is but seems like they're using the surface of the display itself as a speaker, which is interesting.
Relatively old tech ( Developed 20 years ago & first used by NEC in products 15 years ago ) its likely to be an edge driven DML / NXT panel. http://www.m2.com/m2/web/story.php/2002688F17161EC...I worked on these flat speakers, on and off, between 1999 and late 2015. The latest generation are pretty good.
A few days in with the new Sony and I'll be honest, I've got one criticism of it - the far right-hand side of the panel definitely isn't as bright as the rest. It's not by much, but it's enough that I think it might irritate me. That said it's only really noticeable with a very white background and when watching something it is less of an issue. I guess it's just one of the drawbacks of an edge-lit panel.
Had a bit of an issue with audio tonight when watching Amazon 4k through the app but I think I've resolved it.
